In 2017, our family traveled to Eastern Europe. I wish I could say I drew this on location, but no, this was drawn from a photo I took while touring downtown Vilnius. If you have ever toured with my father-in-law, you know why I had to use a photo reference. You see, he never stops moving.
This is one of my more recent ink drawings, and I purposely used a looser style. I wanted it to feel like it was drawn on site, so there was no pencil sketch, just Micron pens, and no safety net. Once the inking was completed, I broke out a water brush for some shading and splatters to add some texture.
I don’t know about you, but I like the way this piece turned out. How about you?
